The trauma you can’t remember is the trauma that controls you.
— Unknown

I want to know your story.

Humans long for peace, understanding, acceptance, and reciprocal love. But life doesn't always unfold the way we thought. Our stories include detours we didn’t choose, pain we didn’t expect, and roads we never imagined we’d walk. Even in those places, God meets us with compassion and purpose. I am passionate about helping those who feel hopeless rediscover their strength and God-given potential. True healing requires courage—willingness to look inward, confront painful patterns, and commit to meaningful change. Lasting transformation happens in a safe, grace-filled space where hard truths can be explored and where God guides and restores us into who He created us to be.

Spirit-Led

As a Christian therapist, I pray daily for my clients and seek the Lord’s guidance in every session so that healing can take place. Together, we will use therapy techniques, evidence-based practices, and faith to uncover hope and create meaningful change. When appropriate, we can integrate Biblical principles that align with your needs and worldview.

If you prefer not to incorporate faith into your therapy, that is completely okay—your care will never be dependent on that. My commitment is to meet you where you are and support you in the way that serves you best.

Come as you are.

At times, a simple cup of coffee and a heartfelt conversation can make all the difference. The power of having someone who truly listens and supports you is remarkable.

We will embark on a journey to uncover your true self.  I will walk alongside you, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical steps toward healing and growth.

Let’s rediscover hope—together—in a safe, welcoming space where your voice is heard, valued, and honored.

Empowering Women. Equipping Men.

I believe God designed both women and men with purpose, value, and unique roles within the family. I’m passionate about walking alongside women as they rediscover their God-given strength, beauty, identity, and worth—and supporting men as they grow into Christ-centered, emotionally healthy leaders for their homes and communities.

How I work: A Family Systems Perspective

No one exists in isolation—we are shaped by the people, environments, and experiences that surround us. That’s why I work from a family systems perspective, which means I see each individual as part of a larger, interconnected system. We will explore how family patterns, trauma, roles, communication styles, and generational influences contribute to your current challenges and your healing journey.

Conflict is a bridge to deeper intimacy, not division.

I’m passionate about restoring families and strengthening marriages, creating spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. Marriages don’t have to stay stuck. Families can heal. Relationships can be redeemed. Every family has a story—let’s write a new chapter together.

Together, we’ll untangle what’s not working and build healthier, more hopeful ways to relate—through boundaries, fair conflict, emotional intimacy, and healing past wounds.

What to expect at your first session.

Your first session is all about getting comfortable and feeling heard. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly what to say. This session is for you, a welcoming space where you can start to feel understood.

We’ll begin by talking about your priorities for therapy. I want to know what changes you hope therapy will lead to and what areas of your life feel most pressing right now.

I’ll gather a brief history of your life. We’ll explore major crises, significant life changes, and start to uncover the layers that make you uniquely you. This isn’t about judgment—it’s about understanding your story.

We’ll also determine how often you want to come to therapy and what schedule feels realistic for your life.

By the end of your first session, my goal is that you leave with a glimmer of hope for your life—a sense that change is possible and that healing is within reach.

Brainspotting

Processing trauma through talk therapy and traditional interventions can only go so far. That’s why I’m trained in Brainspotting, a powerful technique I use to help with a variety of challenges—allowing your brain and body to process trauma in a safe and effective way.

Brainspotting is a gentle, powerful therapy that helps you process trauma and emotional pain stored in your body and mind. Trauma can feel like a “time capsule” stuck in your brain—holding onto experiences as if they just happened. Brainspotting allows that time capsule to open, giving your brain a safe space to process and release those emotions.

We look at where your eyes naturally focus, because where we look is how we feel—and this connection helps guide healing. Through this process, you can begin to experience freedom, peace, and restoration, remembering that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), worthy of healing and wholeness.

Healing takes time, and asking for help is a courageous step.

My Background

I’m a certified alcohol and drug counselor with over a decade of experience in substance abuse and recovery. I believe in the power of healing through recovery, especially when trauma is acknowledged and addressed. My background includes working as an Alabama Court Referral Officer and serving as the sole mental health advocate for the Mobile County Judicial System. I’m also a DOT-approved SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) for those who are required to complete the Return-to-Duty process.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of South Alabama. I went on to receive my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Mobile.

The Fun Stuff.

When I’m not in the counseling room, you can find me at a local coffee shop, out exploring new places, serving my church, traveling, or soaking up time with my family. I enjoy cheese, floating in my pool, yard sales, Jesus, puzzles, painting, dark chocolate, fresh fruit, and of course—coffee! I truly believe there’s nothing that can’t be solved with good conversation and a great cup of coffee.

Healing is not about changing who you are; it’s about changing your relationship to who you are
